Kairos is a Greek word that means many things. It is more difficult to explain because it lacks an English equivalent. To begin simply though, Kairos denotes our experiences of the eternal and transcendental in time; basically, it is a word meaning, present tense. The present tense of Kairos, however, is rooted in God, and is the great and grand eternal present. Which means that Kairos transcends man’s creation of time; it is the divine and infinite moment of forever. Mystics across history have gone into Kairos when they lose themselves in God. To us humans, Kairos is a very supernatural phenomena—for it means that we have overcome earth time for the time of heaven.
